Hotel Sunroute Higashi-Shinjuku first opened on April 1, 2007, in the energetic business and shopping hub of Tokyo in the Higashi-Shinjuku prefecture. The hotel provides business and leisure travelers with direct access to Shinjuku Station, the largest train station in Japan. The hotel’s contemporary, streamlined accommodations create a serene environment for guests to relax and retire to, away from the busy streets of Tokyo. This Shinjuku hotel’s amenities, including secure accommodation and elevator access, expansive breakfast buffet at the hotel’s restaurant Royal Host, and traditional Chinese menu at Bamiyan restaurant.
We used Sunroute Higashi Shinjuku for one night before traveling to Hakone from Shinjuku train station. The hotel was clean and decent size for one night. There was plenty of restaurants nearby and a Tully’s at the end of the block for a quick breakfast. We did go to breakfast in the hotel and for $10 pp, it was not a bad deal. They offered both Japanese style and western options. We had plenty to eat before heading out. For the price and location, this is a good starting points.
Nice hotel for quick stop
